PROCEDURE
The amendment of the
constitution was introduced into the Nationalrat on 16 April 1998
and passed on 12 May. The Bundesrat approved it on 4 June. The 2/3
majority was assured by the grand coalition government reaching
the required majority in each of the houses. |
