STUDY SITES

This proposal analyses four study sites in Spain, the provinces (NUTS3) of Orense (Galicia), Zamora (Castile-Leon), Madrid (Madrid community) and Valencia (Valencia community).

These sites have been selected for the analysis because of their differences in historic forest fire occurrence, territorial organization and planning, land uses, biophysical parameters and environmental conditions. The location of the sites are shown next:
