Víctimas ha habido siempre, pero hasta ahora eran invisibles porque se las consideraba el precio obligado de la marcha de la historia. Ahora se han hecho visibles y eso significa que entienden su situación no como algo natural o inevitable, sino como una injusticia que espera respuesta. En toda victimación se oculta una lógica instrumental que degrada aquello sobre lo que se aplica a mero sustrato, condición para un fin, a mero material de dominación o aniquilación. Muchas las formas de victimación se fundamentan y se justifican como un medio para la consecución de objetivos sociales, políticos o económicos, que en realidad terminan absolutizando la pura instrumentalidad que anida en la victimación. Un futuro reconciliado sólo puede realizarse quebrando la lógica instrumental que está en la base de la victimación. Esto obliga a pensar la justicia desde una memoria de las víctimas que las rescate una segunda muerte, las de ser vistas como “precio necesario”.

Este congreso pretende analizar críticamente la lógica instrumental de la victimación en diferentes ámbitos:

Holocaust: Validity of its perverse logics”

Victims have always existed, but until now they have been invisible because they were considered as the compulsory toll of the march of history. Now they have become visible and that means that they do not accept their situation as something natural or inevitable, but as an injustice for which an answer is expected. Behind all victimization is an instrumental logic that reduces everything to which it is applied to a mere means to an end, to a mere material of domination or annihilation. Many of the forms of victimization are founded on and justified as a means to achieve social, political or economic objectives, which in reality end up absolutizing the pure instrumentality which harbours in victimization. A reconciled future can only occur by breaking the instrumental logic which is at the basis of victimization. This forces us to rethink justice from the perspective of a remembrance of the victims which saves them from a second death, that of being considered as the “necessary price”.

This conference aims at critically analyzing the instrumental logic of victimization in different spheres:
