1. Victims of terrorism and overcoming violence

The violence of terror and political crimes holds a deep and intense connection with the system which generates and reinforces domination, with cultures which reproduce classism, sexism, xenophobia or the cult of force, with an almost ancestral tendency to make victims invisible and render them irrelevant for the building of a social and political community. Murdering cannot be taken as a question of fate or a necessary toll to achieve political objectives. Victims are no longer the silent price of politics and history. The time when killing, extorting, torturing or threatening were incidental excesses which could be erased as soon as the executor decided to abandon them is over.
