The project Biblioteca Abierta de la Comunidad de Madrid aims at familiarizing migrants with Spanish culture, and also to provide all Madrilenians with bibliography in different languages using the specific methodology of interest centers to ease comprehension from a multicultural point of view.
The target population is anybody interested in knowing more about Spain but also about countries of origin of the population living currently in the Community of Madrid.
The collection of the library have increased really fast. It was created in 2004 and by 2008 already had 30.624 different materials. The website has a good menu to facilitate the search.
