The study of gold mining and its environmental impact has been enriched with data from different sources, with the following CSD-TCP collaborating groups:

• Microtopography of three mining water deposits from the Roman period (EST-AP).
• Stratigraphical sondages in two mining water deposits from the Roman period (EST-AP).
• Palynololigcal study of two mining water deposits from the Roman period (ARQBIO).
• Palaeocontamination study of two mining water deposits from the Roman period (EPEC).
• Palynological, anthracological and carpological study of the settlements of El Castrelín and Orellán, in Las Médulas (ARQBIO).
• Development of a Spatial Data Infrastructure for Las Médulas (EST-AP).
• Palynological study of several peat bogs around the Bierzo region (ARQBIO).

The scientific results are being published both in academic circles and in dissemination strategies. New signs for walking itineraries have been made, which will enhance the social dimension, together with the SDI, of this heritage.
