Museums

Museums are essential in the remembrance of the past because they contribute to know the history, to promote awareness about the past and to keep the memory alive. EU Member states have established an important number of memorial museums that commemorate the victims of the repressive past and help to know the horrors of the repressive regimes and to prevent their occurrence in the future.

We have implemented a search engine for memorial museums across EU member states which does not pretend to be exhaustive. In order to access to the information of each museum, you can select one or more countries on the list or search a particular museum by its name.
