The Cultural Heritage (CH) has experienced a boom in the last decade: investments were made, directly related to infrastructure, training programs have been opened and professional training projects have been funded ... But now, in times of crisis, maintenance is threatened and continuity. Become aware of where we stand today and where we can orient ourselves, is a necessary exercise that they have to make all stakeholders together, from their own disciplines and professional orientations.
The research programme on Technologies for the Conservation and Valorization of Cultural Heritage (CSD-TCP)organizes a course focusing on this critical view of the CH: its social role in the recent past, present and in the near future. It is based, therefore, on a balance of activities developed in recent years and how we can face the new approaches that are being needed.
The course is structured into three thematically independent but complementary modules, designed to search for common responses and identify viable strategies. Follow three essential axes: theoretical and practical bases that support and sustain interventions in the CH (concepts, institutional, professional guidance, projects and calls), the role oftechnologies, tools, analytical techniques and geo-information systems which are essential in the development of any project assets, and the third module is based on the presentation of a selection of active projects, whose recent history, current status and future prospects will be discussed, allowing to apply or discuss the proposals of the first two modules.
Each of the modules is coordinated by experts in the proposed themes and will include professors from the world of research and private and public management. The course aims primarily to provide students with information, tools and resources for workforce development, building on the experiences of working professionals, hence part of the program will be dedicated spaces for discussion and exchange.
The course will be held in Spanish.
