New contents have been added to the Gijón Territory demonstration project regarding a meeting that was held on November 26th 2010, which was titled: "The territory of Gijón. Excavations in the old tobacco factory of Gijón".

The newsletter belongs to the Thematic Network on Cultural Heritage and Network on Science and Technology for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage of CSIC.
Within the CSD-TCP program a strong research line has been the environmental impact of Roman gold mining in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula. In this same direction, a further step has been the renewal of the MINEDOR project, financed by the French Agence nationale de la recherche (ANR).
A few months ago the last of the documents of the National Heritage Science Strategy of the United Kingdom was published. This initative, recommended by the House of Lords, is an effort to develop a bottom-up strategy to articulate the field of heritage science.
