PhD Project: “Poetic and Religious Forms in Late Morisco Poetry. Mohammad Rabadán’s Discurso de la Luz.”
This project explores the relationship between the Moriscos’ religious and poetic practices in the early 17th century, before and after the expulsion. It is focused on the poetic work produced by Mohammad Rabadán while taking into account other works from the same period. The study examines poetic form in relation to identity, and the use of poetic texts in religious practice, in order to understand and redefine the religious and intellectual life of this community in Spain and beyond.
