27–29 March 2014. The 60th Annual Renaissance Society of America Meeting will be held in New York. The purpose of this Society shall be the advancement of learning in the field of Renaissance studies, and especially the promotion of exchanges among the various fields of specialization, such as art, architecture, bibliography and the book arts, the classical and modern literatures, history, music, medicine, law, philosophy, religion and theology, the sciences, and any other fields of learning that can deepen or broaden understanding of the Renaissance period. During this meeting, some members of the CORPI project will share their arguments in several sessions, on: “Conversion and Its Intellectual Consequences: I. Assimilation and New Forms of Sacred History. II. Iberian Polemics and the Rise of European Orientalism; and III. Conversion as Sower of Doubt, Skepticism, and Dissimulation." (See here the schedule)
