"In the Iberian Peninsula prior to the Enlightenment, a polemical multi-faith context necessarily led to comparisons between the three monotheistic religions. Ill-fated late-medieval Iberian pluralism will be presented here as a highly innovative matrix in terms of doubt, dissimulation and erosion of belief. From the point of view of religious authorities, doubt gave rise to a space that lacked a defined identity, within which the solid outlines of mainstream religious identity were no longer recognizable."

It will be held at Residencia de Estudiantes (CSIC, Madrid).
